City Code and Zoning Ordinances

The City of Ithaca is providing a secure online platform to house its codified laws and municipal documents.  The new eCode360 will allow quick access and search of the City's Code through desktop and mobile devices.  The move to eCode360 provides residents and users the benefits of:
Centralized Information - Laws, regulations and related documents are integrated into a centralized resource so that Code users can find information in one place.  Users now have 24/7 access to the City's Code and Zoning.
Simply to Use - It is easy and offers time-saving features to let the user easily access, search and share Code sections with speed and accuracy.
Always Up-To-Date - As the City updates its ordinances, our vendor, General Code, will update the eCode360 site so that it provides the most recent and accurate information.

Forms & Applications

  • Zoning Application is required to be filed with the City Zoning Administrator along with the applicable fee prior to any progress of work on the property.  Including; fences, decks, porches, sheds, garages, accessory buildings, new additions or any new construction.  The application will then be reviewed in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance to determine approval or if such request needs to be taken to the Planning Commission or the Zoning Board of Appeals.

    Approved Zoning Applications are required for a building permit to be issued from the County.
