With construction related to the utility bond projects going on in various parts of the City, it doesn't seem like there is anwhere you can go without seeing construction barrels. Thank you for your continued patience in traveling around these construction areas!
In the northwest quadrant of the city, the contractor has begun restoration work on the lawns and replacing sidewalks and driveways. The work is wrapping up in this area with restoration work scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
In the area north of Center Street and east of Pine River Street, the water mains are being pressure tested and chlorinated. Work will then focus on connecting the individual services to the new main. While this piece is scheduled to be done by the end of May, work will follow on restoration of the yards and driveways after the service connections.
The areas south of Center Street are seeing the water main being installed. In May, the main will be pressurized and chlorinated before service connections can begin. These connections will likely be made at the end of May through June. Yard restoration will follow.
Continue to be safe traveling through these zones and be aware of people walking and construction vehicles on site.
