PATTENGILL MEMORIAL MONUMENT - The Pattengill Memorial Monument was built in 1924 by students of the Village school and is made up of stone, rock and quartz which came from all across the United States. Almost twenty states are represented along with twenty-five counties in Michigan.
Mr. Henry Romaine Pattengill was the Superintendent during the early 1900's of the Village school which at one time stood on the corner of Center and Maple Street.
