Ithaca's Community Center built in 1989, located at 120 N Maple St., on the corner of Maple St. and Center St. is attached to the Historical Fire Hall in Downtown Ithaca.
GENERAL RULES:
- No Smoking.
- No Alcoholic Beverages.
- No birdseed, rice, confetti, or similar items are to be used inside or outside the building.
- Trash is to be bagged and placed in the dumpster outside, which is located through the exit door by the bathrooms and behind the wooden fence.
- All rooms are to be left as they were found.
- No furniture is to be removed from the premises.
- Users will be responsible to “set up” and “take down” the tables as needed.
- Users are responsible for any loss or damage.
- The Center shall not be rented in such a manner as to exclude the opportunity for other groups to utilize the facility.
- Nothing is to be left in the refrigerator.
- A TV/DVD/VCR combo is provided.
- No animals are allowed inside the building.
- No parking or driving on sidewalks, including unloading and loading.
- Persons who violate any of these guidelines may not be eligible to use the center again.
- Seating capacity shall not exceed:
o Table and chairs ---- 150 persons
o Chairs only ---------- 300 persons

DEPOSIT & FEES:
- There is a $50 cleaning and damage deposit due upon reservation. This fee, or a portion thereof, will be refunded if the center is clean and no damage done.
- User fees will be $15 per hour, or $125 per day with a minimum fee of $30. Set up and clean up time will be included in the user fee.
- A minimum fee of $30 will be charged for all users.
DEPOSIT & FEES CONTINUED:
- The deposit will be returned upon cancellation given at least two (2) weeks in advance.
- Users with cancellations or date changes made without two (2) week prior notice will be charged for the original time reserved.
- User fees will not be returned if original time reserved is not used entirely.
- Reservations and fees must be arranged for and paid at Ithaca City Hall, 129 West Emerson Street (phone 989-875-3200) DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.
DECORATIONS:
- All decorations used must be within the guidelines of the State Fire Marshall.
- No decorations will be attached to walls or ceilings.
- All decorations are to be removed at the end of the function.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USERS:
- The key to the center may be picked up DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS at City Hall. The user rental fee is due at the time the key is picked up.
- Before departing, THE OUTSIDE doors shall be locked and the key placed in the drop box at the entrance.
- Tables and chairs are to be cleaned before taken down.
- ALL table and chairs are to be taken down and placed in the closet.
- Vacuuming is not required, however large items shall be picked up off the floor and spills on floors need to be taken care of.
- Trash will be bagged and placed in the dumpster outside, which is located through the exit door by the bathrooms and behind the wooden fence. Trash cans in the kitchen are to be emptied.
- During the winter months persons renting the center shall be responsible for shoveling the sidewalks. The City will remove the snow when accumulation is over 2”. A snow shovel will be kept in the entryway.
- Kitchen supplies are not provided.
