Edie Hunter, Assessor

 
 
Edie is the Assessor of the City of Ithaca, appointed by the City
Council.  She is available every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. to
answer any
questions on Real and Personal Property in the City of Ithaca.  Edie is
responsible for identifying, listing and valuing all taxable real and
personal property in the City, in accordance with the General Property
Tax Act and the City Charter.  She is also responsible for processing
all the recorded documents for properties in the City Limits and
determining transfers of ownership, Principle Residence Exemptions and
correct mail-to information.

You can access your current tax and assessing information through BS&A Software.  Information on your own property can be accessed at no charge, but a $2.00 fee applies to additional properties.
