Ithaca Cemetery

 
The Ithaca Cemetery is located near the Northwest Corner of Ithaca. The Cemetery Association began in 1863, with 6 acres.  The Mausoleum was built in 1917, and was renovated in 1998.  Since 1970 the cemetery has been expanded to the North and South and today totals 24 acres.

Cemetery Decorating - All grave decorations must be within twelve (12) inches of the stone. Glass containers are prohibited. Plantings shall be permitted only under supervision of the Cemetery Sexton. Planting of hedges, rosebushes and/or thorny vegetation is strictly prohibited.  The City will remove all flowers, trees or shrubs which have become unsightly, dangerous or within a walk-way or alley without notice. Winter decorations or artificial flowers may be maintained on graves until April 1, and any decorations which are not removed by April 1 shall be considered abandoned and may be disposed of by the cemetery management.
