Accounting and Financial Reports

Financial Reporting

The City Treasurer accounts for and reports all financial activity for the city government and coordinates with the city's external auditor to produce the Annual Financial Report.  This report details the financial activities for the entire fiscal year, as well as the financial position of the city at the end of the fiscal year.

The city's fiscal year begins July 1 and ends on June 30.  The budget defines anticipated city revenues and sets the legal limits for expenditures by the government.

City, Village and Township Revenue Sharing Incentive Program (CVTRS)

Public Act 84 of 2015, set the program requirements for local units of government to qualify for receiving the statutory Revenue Sharing payments.  For fiscal year 2016, the Legislature continued the City, Village, and Township Revenue Sharing (CVTRS) program. Each eligible local unit, of which the City of Ithaca is an eligible unit,  must meet all of the requirements of Accountability and Transparency in order to receive the full CVTRS payments.

The following documents fulfill the City of Ithaca's Accountability and Transparency requirements for this program.  Questions on these documents may be directed to the City Clerk-Treasurer at bfandell@ithacami.com
